Paying tribute to the men and women, past and present, who have served and sacrificed to defend our nation is a moment traditionally shared together within our schools and communities.

This year, although we were unable to honour those who have secured our freedom by taking part in the Remembrance Parade, we found different ways to pause and take time to reflect on what Remembrance means to us.

Our students and staff at Didcot Girls' School, St Birinus School and Sutton Courtenay CofE Primary School, though physically apart, were united in thinking about how modern diverse Britain was created and the shared heritage of service and sacrifice across all the UK’s communities.

We will remember them.
